QashMarket Buyer Guidelines
Effective Date: 9 November 2025
These Buyer Guidelines ensure a safe and fair shopping experience on QashMarket. Read together with our Terms of Service. They align with Malaysia’s Consumer Protection Act 1999 (CPA) and the Consumer Protection (Electronic Trade Transaction) Regulations 2024 (CPETTR 2024).
1. Understanding QashMarket’s Role
- QashMarket is NOT the seller: we do not own, stock, or deliver products. Your contract is with the Seller.
- Responsibility: the Seller is responsible for product quality, safety, description accuracy, and delivery.
2. Your Rights as a Consumer
| Consumer Right | Seller Obligation (CPETTR 2024) |
|---|---|
| Right to Information | Seller discloses identity, contact, and registration number (if applicable). |
| Right to Clear Pricing | Displayed price is final, including all taxes and charges. |
| Right to Accurate Description | Description must be accurate and important info provided in Bahasa Malaysia. |
| Right to Quality | Goods must be of acceptable quality and fit for purpose (CPA 1999). |
3. The Payment Process
- QashMarket does not process or hold funds.
- Direct Payment: you pay the Seller directly using their chosen method (e.g., Touch ’n Go eWallet QR).
- Your Responsibility: ensure you pay the correct account/channel.
- Disclaimer: QashMarket is not responsible for payment errors, fraud, or disputes between buyer and seller.
4. Before You Purchase
- Review the Seller’s identity and contact details.
- Read the product details carefully and note the full price.
- Check the Seller’s delivery, return, refund, and cancellation policies.
- For food items, look for signs of compliance (e.g., KKM Food Handler Certificate).
5. Dispute Resolution
5.1 Contact the Seller First
Most issues are resolved quickly through direct communication.
5.2 Report to QashMarket (Platform Intervention)
- We may investigate and take platform action (e.g., suspend accounts) for violations.
- Note: We cannot issue refunds or compensation as we do not handle payments.
5.3 Legal Recourse (Tribunal for Consumer Claims)
If unresolved, you may file a claim with the TCC (KPDN) for claims up to RM50,000 within three years.
